PRODUCT INSTRUCTIONS
How to apply Reed Speed to calls, firearm actions, and store your gear for reliable cold-weather performance.
Duck Call
Clip the bottle and Call Wipe to your call lanyard. Put 3 drops on the Call Wipe. For double-reed calls, wipe between the reeds. For single-reed calls, wipe across the top of the reed.
Firearm Actions
Apply 4–5 drops to the action before your hunt to keep it cycling smoothly in the cold.
Post-Hunt Care
Use our Reed Speed Wipe to clean reeds, tone board, and call after the hunt.
How many drops do I actually need to prevent spit-lock?
Three drops on the Call Wipe is all you need to bring the call back to life. Using more won't make it work or sound any better.
Is Reed Speed safe on natural timber wood/cocobolo?
Yes. Our solution is completely non-polar and contains no water, meaning organic wood grains will not absorb moisture or warp/crack the tone board clearance gaps.
Does this affect the sound, pitch, or natural rattle of the call?
No. The formula leaves a microscopically thin slip-layer that doesn't change the reed's vibration frequency or resonance.
Can I use it on semi-automatic shotguns like the Benelli SBE3 or Beretta A400?
Yes. Apply a light layer to the ejectors and action bars. Especially recommended in wet, freezing rain, when steel actions can freeze up on contact.
